11S Appearing in the Wild

We're starting to see 11-speed in the wild. Latest spotting was a brand-new Colnago parked outside the local coffee shop in Winters, CA. We're still unsure what we think about the new lever design--it looks a little odd. And we're also not sure how you can tell which gear you're in by glancing at the cluster. There are just so many cogs back there! (The bike we saw yesterday had a relatively small cluster, so it may have gone in one-tooth increments from the smallest to the largest cogs. Really, now, does anybody in the real world need such microajustability in their drivetrain?)

If you ride 11S, let us know what you think about it. Respond to this post, or email enorris (at) campyonly.com

  1. "What we do is when we need that extra push over the cliff, we put it at 11..."
