Today's Photo

From a rainy ride around Davis, CA. That's a gold anodized Campy BMX crankset creeping into the shot ...

More "Living Photography"

Not much Campy content here (my 1970s Raleigh Superbe), but still fun:

2013 Rumors

We're hearing that the 2013 lineup will include the return of triple cranksets ... and the introduction of EPS at the Athena level. The latter is a move that will help Campagnolo introduce electronic shifting to the masses ... and perhaps take market share away from ShimaNO despite the fact that Campagnolo was later to the game.

World's Lightest Road Bike is Campy Equipped

Not much Campy on it, but this 6-pound (2.7 Kg) bike has a front derailleur (modified) from Vicenza. Read all about it here.

Bottle Mania

Campy Only has a collection of about 800+ water bottles. Here's a very small sample that includes some interesting retro bottles:

New Pista Crankset?

Cinelli is showing photos of a 2012 concept track bike that shows a very interesting Campagnolo Pista crankset. It appears to share the basic design of Campagnolo's new cranksets ... which would be a shame, because the official Pista crankset is, in Campy Only's opinion, a modern classic.

Anybody seen one of these in real life?

Another Campy-Equipped Lytro Picture

Playing around with the Lytro camera some more. It works great for close-up shots like this one of the shift levers on my Campy-equipped Rivendell:

First "Living Picture" of Campagnolo?

This may be the very first "living picture" ever taken of Campagnolo components. Click around on the image to refocus ... have fun!

We're Riding "On the Rivet"

There's a new leather saddle in town--it's from Rivet Cycle Works, and we're riding one of the first production models. The photos speak for themselves--this is a gorgeous saddle that gives Brooks and any other leather saddle a run for their money.

We'll have road tests available soon. For now, enjoy the photos. More info on Rivet is available at their web site: www.rivetcycleworks.com

Great Campagnolo Tattoo!

Campy fan (and friend of Campy Only) Jason Pierce shows off his brand-new ink. Very cool--check out the detail in the close-up photo by clicking on the "More" link.

P.S. Notice Jason's 508 jersey--he is definitely hardcore. When we took this photo, he had just finished riding 200 kilometers on a fixed gear, and it looks like he didn't even break a sweat.

NAHBS

Campy Only stopped by the North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show and took a few photos. Lots of eye candy, and one particularly great example of Campy component use, which we'll highlight in a separate post. Photos here.

The show continues in Sacramento, CA, through the weekend. Well worth a visit if you can make it.

Thank you to the folks at NAHBS for giving media access to the show to Campy Only.
